Jessica L. Sparrow

Writer of Fiction, Poetry, and Non-Fiction

Jessica writes Gothic fiction, supernatural thrillers, and poetry. Her writing is heavily influenced by her Afro-Boriquena roots. Her cultural pride is showcased in her short story, Burning Slumber, a love letter to the Tainos. This is her publishing debut in the cosmic horror anthology, Beyond the Bounds of Infinity, coming out in 2024.

Also coming this year, is book one to her Blood series, Blood Behind the Walls, a 19th century, gothic thriller brimming with Puerto Rican witchcraft, love, and matriarchal power. Other projects include editing book two and drafting book three from the Blood series.

When not writing or reading, Sparrow is in the kitchen conjuring delicious meals or binging horror movies with family and close friends.
